Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an Honorary Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely praised for launching the modern science of the eyewitness memory of children and utilizing child victims to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman published widely and has won several grants and has been honored with many national and international distinctions. She has worked with many government agencies and institutions around the globe on studies and policy issues pertaining to children who have been victimized by the justice system. She is also a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of numerous professional associations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has served as president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and three Divisions of Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
