Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shankar is a British-American sitarist as well as a music producer. She was the first woman within her age bracket to be a member of the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Sitar Shankar is the Indian young sitar singer. She's the child of Ravi Shankar and a former student. She was born London in 1982. In her first years she split in London New Delhi. The first time she performed was in New Delhi when she was just 13 years old. At the age of 13, she finished her high school education within Encinitas CA. Even though she's very young, Anouskha is a star in her performing and recording career. She has performed with her father on stage for many years. She released her debut album in 1998. released Anourag as her debut single album. In 2002, she debuted her Grammy Nominated Live At Carnegie Hall. Her stage career is very extensive for she has been in every one of the major stages in the world. Anoushka isn't just a performer. Bapi The Love of My Live is her 2002 memoir, that is a tribute to Ravi Shankar. Also, in movies in 2003. She was in the movie Dance Like a Man where she portrays a young Bharat Natyam dancer. Anoushka continues to grow in her career and there will be many new things that will be coming from this talented lady. Anoushka Shankar was born and raised in England and spent the majority of her early years in London and Delhi later relocating to California where she went to the high school. Anoushka Shankar started her musical studies at the age of nine. Four years later she played her first sitar debut in Delhi during her father's 75th birthday celebration. The father of Anoushka travelled the globe with her, and she gained many experiences. When she was still at her teens, Anoushka performed at Carnegie Hall during Peter Gabriel's WOMAD music festival. She was the youngest woman to win the House of Commons Shield, presented by British Parliament in recognition of her musicianship and artistry within the Asian Arts.
